$49 Logo Design Service – 5 Logos, Unlimited Revisions

You think, “Wow! What a bargain!”

It’s important to save money where you can – especially if you’re a small business owner.

And it’s tempting to take the most cost-effective route with so many options to get a logo designed.

But in the back of your mind, you’re thinking, “What’s the catch?”

We thought the same thing.

We’re pretty damn good at what we do.

But we don’t charge $47 for our services.

So if these other guys can design logos at a fraction of our price, should we close up shop and open a bakery?

The Baking Bull Anyone?

We looked into these cheap logo design services and decided

Nah – we’re good

Like we’ve said before, there is a time and place for quick and cheap logo designs.

Take a look at some of logos out there!

But before you decide to hire these design services, there are things you should look out for:

What’s in the Basic Package

The ad we mentioned earlier quotes one company’s basic package.

Lots of companies offer similar services at equally low prices.

We looked into a few of them and studied their logo packages, read through their FAQs, and asked their online representatives a few questions.

The company who runs the ad we quoted offers this basic package:

  • 6 logo concepts
  • Free icon design
  • 2 creative designers
  • 24 to 48 hour turnaround time
  • Unlimited revisions
  • JPEG and PDF formats

The full price for this package is $119.

The sale price is $49.

This deal sounds pretty good.

One thing that jumps out at us, other than the low price for the amount of work, is the turnaround time.

24 to 48 hour turnaround time is pretty amazing.

It’s not just fast. It’s The Flash fast.

Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day, Neither Should Your Logo

VENN-Diagramjpgscaled1000

We take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks to design a logo.

This includes:

  • Learning about a client’s brand and visual identity
  • Researching the industry and competitors
  • Studying important themes that the logo needs to communicate
  • Working through ideas until we find the best concepts
  • Creating artwork from scratch
  • Testing logo designs in different sizes and on different mediums
  • Test different color variations, make sure it looks in both black and white and colors.
The creative process is a lot to fit into two days.

You lose things when you try to rush a product – like quality.

Ummm.. How Do We Say This Gently…

We looked through the designs in the portfolio.

It’s a mixed bag.

Some are good.

Some are not.

Basically, the designs are passable.

We don’t mean to dump on these designs that are created by in-house designers supposedly.

They look rushed because they are.

The designers don’t have a lot of time to come up with solid concepts or create original artwork.

And the results don’t look any better than logos created by logo generators.

Beware the Faceless Online Company

That might be all that they do.

They may be using logo generating software to create logos.

Or contracting out the logo designs overseas.

We don’t know.

They won’t say (and we don’t expect them to).

The online marketplace makes it easy to buy and sell goods and services.

But both buyer and seller need to cover their bases and protect themselves.

When I spoke to an online representative via the live chat interface on their website, their rep asked about the nature and name of my business, my target audience, colours I wanted, and my own ideas for the logo.

This was all well and good.

Once the rep had this information, he began to strongly suggest more expensive packages and started to pressure me into making a purchase.

That’s fine.

I don’t fault him for that.

He’s trying to make a sale.

But the whole thing felt rushed.

It lacked relationship and trust building.

It felt like he just wanted my money.

We have our motivations for researching these cheap logo design services.

But we also feel the need to let people know what they’re getting into.

At the end of the day, it’s your choice how you want to create a logo for your business.

But before you hire one of these online services, do take a gander at our portfolio. We’re really really good at what we do.
